Im hopeful that this thread will be a featured thread so that it can get a few responses. And for those that thought it was going to be dirty.... sorry its not.

Had an idea that we could all put a little note about a good place that we have stayed at IN OUR OWN CITY/TOWN/STATE so that there becomes a good list of recommended places to stay all over the world.

Im starting it off with a B&B that i stayed at in the hills of Perth, Western Australia. However you could suggest hotels, hostels, apartments, whatever as long as you liked it for some reason.

I stayed out of the perth metro area for a relaxing weekend a few months ago at a place called Treetops Retreat Mundaring. Not exactly cheap accommodation or located near the city but in terms of relaxation and beautiful Perth surrounds i had a great time.

Im sure you can locate it in google if you want to look further.

Thats mine, now show us yours.

I haven't stayed in any place that was really great in Calgary, or really in Invermere B.C. where I just lived. I would recommend the Best Western there, though, The Invermere Inn. It was alright . Sorry that this isn't too glamorous of a post. That's a crazy idea.

This one aint to far from home for me, but I know a great B&B in Brighton, UK!Its called the Avalon and its run by a really nice couple, its cheap, has lovely rooms, good location and the total selling point is the amazing breakfasts! They cater for anyone from halal-veggie-vegan and the food is simply divine!!!!I love Brighton!

During my final year in Borneo, I followed a friend to his hometown in a very rural villge in Sarawak; no transport is accessible except the wooden 'rakit' to drift by; I even bath naked in the river with crocodiles! (That's the best part of it!) Take the water from the hill and wash our clothes by the river; drink the local home-made wain called "Tapai" (i bet none of you in TP has tasted this before...i am very sure of arrogant!); brushing the buffalo with no shirts on(i enjoyed the life without clothes ..almost spent 2 weeks there! like a big child); dancing and singing...

A memorable experient.
