Romantic holiday in Phuket?

Hi all,

My girlfriend and I are thinking of staying at a really nice resort in Phuket and are hoping for any suggestions?

Phuket is the most expensive beach area in Thailand. Also expensive is the cost of local transportation just to get around the city. When you go to Phuket will determine if the weather is what you like. If you are going during the Christmas/New Years holiday season the weather is nice but the hotels are more expensive than off season.

Phuket is okay if you have the time and money to get there. Phuket is not an short trip from Bangkok. There are other beaches that are nearer Bangkok if your time and cash is short.

All of Thailand has summer, tropical type weather patterns. A little more rain and heat at some times of the year and a little milder and nicer weather at other times between November through February. But even during the rainy season there are millions of tourists visiting Thailand.

Even in Bangkok and Chiang Mai you can get a tan just walking around.
