Hello everybody,

Hopefully there is anybody who has the answer to the question above.

I'm thinking of buying a Toyota Landcruiser or a Hillux Surf (both cars can be used for sleeping in the nack) for our trip across Chile, Bolivia, Brazil and Argentina. Does anybody know which kinda tools I definately need to buy in Chile and bring alomg on my trip?

I'm actually aq noob when it comesto cars and fixing them, but The small things I want to do myself(fixing broken lights etc).

Many thanks!!!

You should have battery cables"good one" or better yet Jump-N-Carry Battery Booster - 12 Volt, computer diagnostic scanner that works on the vehicle you gonna be driving, Locking pliers, screw drive flat head and Phillips, roll of good duck tape, This will help if you have if you have a busted water hose, tester light, spare fuses, digital multi-meter, wrenches set. 200 feet of strong rope. Having these tools will help even if you are not a mechanic because you may find a mechanic that don't have these tools. I may also gonna be driving from Canada to Brazil in October. I will ship the car from Miami to Colombia and them drive it south.

Thanks Zominari, that helps a lot! I don't know what all the devices are, but now I've some clue in which direction to look for. Good luck with your trip, sounds like great fun
