ErwinNL has indicated that this thread is about Argentina

Wondering if its worth visting Tierra Del Fuego and Torres del Paine in may or weather conditions are realy to bad at that time of year to do any trekking?

Hee Erwin,

I'd say may's too cold; you're really WAY down there, you know. I've been there in october and march, which technically would be summer/spring, and even then the weather wasn't exactly pleasant. Why not go trekking further up north? Argentinian Andes range is the finest.

best, Niels

I can still choose between visiting SA from april to june. or alternatively from december to march.
Geuss leaving for SA in april would be the right time of year for andes treks in peru, bolivia and equador. since it will be the dry season then but the wrong time for pantagonia (wich looks real fine though) from dec to march would be good for pantagonia but bad for the rest. so I geuss its will be a bit of a trade off.
wondering now if pantagonia and the lakes district still worth visiting even tough treks there are imposible becuase of the wheater? is there any other stuff to see and do?
