I am interested in travelling to Lago Agrio, an oil town surrounded by the Amazon on the border of Colombia and Ecuador, and living there for up to two weeks with one or more other English speakers. I am leaving Ecuador on the 10th of August, and so will only have time until this date. I am from the United States, a student at a small liberal arts college and 20 years old. I am interested in going to this town because I received a grant to do anthropological research on the town's history, among other subjects, and feel like I need to spend a significant amount of time there to do some substantive research. I am looking for someone to travel with who is willing to explore this town with me and who speaks somewhat fluent Spanish. Please let me know if you are interested in going on this trip, and how long you might be available to stay in the town with me. I am happy to leave from Quito with you (8 hour bus ride) and stay for whichever dates you are available until the 10th of August. Please let me know what you think. Thanks so much.
