Does anyone know if its possible to get visas for vietnam and china in a forein country ( in my case japan or korea) or do you have to have them before heading off? Also if you go from china to hong kong to macau then back into china do you need a multiple entry visa or is a single entry visa enough?
I got my VN visa in Cambodia, my Thailand visa in Singapore. Go to the embassey of China & VN and apply. Usually takes a few days. Don't know about China-Macau-China question.
I'm planning my visa for China now in London for travel in May. Even though Hong Kong is part of China, you still need a multiple entry visa to go from mainland China - Hong Kong - Macau - China (whether through Hong Kong again or not).
I know you can get your Chinese visa in Vietnam mainly in Hanoi. But if you are going to Hong Kong then I guess it is better to get it there as you can get up to 6 months visa and multiple entries by the next day if you paid extra or 3 days otherwise(note that the chinese visa starts running down on the date of issue so you might want to leave it for as long as possible). Not sure about getting visa from Japan/ Korea.
Thx for the info guys. Read that it should also be possible to get china visas in seoul so I ll get them on the road probably will be cheaper aswell.
you may get a china visa in Hong Kong easily...it takes one working day only~!!!
