I'm exploring printing my Blog so that I can complete a hardcover book for my four year old of our holiday. The PDF I am getting now is very basic and although it contains the text and the pictures from the blog, it does not replicate the page - the template is such a big part of our blog!
Is there a way that an exact replica of the page can be printed?
At this point we are unable to apply templates to the PDF or HTML printable versions created, however you may wish to print from the HTML version instead, as per the FAQs:
The main disadvantage of generating a PDF is that your maps and videos will not show within the entries. The HTML version will show maps and videos as normal and when printing from HTML these will be included in your printout. The main disadvantage of using the HTML version is that the layout can be somewhat different from browser to browser and this might cause a strange looking printout.
Sorry I can't be of more help!
Just to add to this - the template includes a lot of stuff that just isn't necessary for printing.
The entire sidebar is not relevant in a printed version. As a result, creating a printable version that *looks* like the template is actually quite an involved process. So instead we just have the one template for printing. Hope that explains it.
