So how long are you going to be on "watch" mode W?

Hi Anne,
+
I could be pretty busy for the next days at least. It's Week 3 of the academic semester, and the various departments at the Chinese university here want all teaching & lesson plans submitted for the coming year.
+
Separately, there's a foreign teachers' meeting this afternoon. This should be a briefing session for the scenic provincial tour that we are being taken on this weekend. I understand it will include places with colourful native wildflowers in full spring bloom.
+
Tomorrow (Thursday) is St Patrick's Day, so a lot of the foreign expats, experts & others in Kunming will gather at The Camel Bar. I have a writing class at 8am next morning. The Chinese undergraduate students have already been informed that I may need them to be very quiet on Friday morning.
+
Otherwise, I have finally got around to scanning my hardcopy travel pictures of China. So far, I have uploaded about 250 pix (including digital ones) to this site:

+
There's quite a few more to add. In fact, there are some fantastic shots from the overland tour I did from Kathmandu (Nepal) to Lhasa (Tibet). I'll pick a few of the best ones to upload to my TP gallery.
+
Afterwards, I'll scan hardcopy pix from Indo-China (Vietnam, Laos, & Cambodia). Again, I'll pick the best ones for TP. I'll set up another page for the surplus.
+
Now that the year is getting back into full swing, the university will probably have a few special functions for me to attend/perform. They're usually guest or public speaking roles at official ceremonies, with plenty of banquet feasting & toasting. I am not often given much advance notice.
+
Each day, I check all my email accounts & websites so I am quite contactable. At the moment, it is lunchtime and I need to put some stuff together for a lecture this afternoon.
+
Ciao
Wocca

Well, that was a very thorough reply Sounds like you are going to be busy for awhile...I personally need to get busy at work. I have so much of it that sometimes I get overwhelmed and it is easier to do nothing. I pay for it by having to go in on the weekends because of the deadlines. Since it is uninterrupted time (no calls to answer, no clients to see, no people walking in and out of my office asking questions), on Saturdays, I can get done three times the amount of work than in any other week day.

Mr. Reinstein will be in LA this week so no need for me to be home, I might as well go to work and be useful. Anyway, chat with you later!

Awesome pictures Wocca! Sometimes it takes a while to acess that site? Have you had any problems with it?

I had problems getting into the website too but since I do it while I am working, I was able to wait without having to stare at the screen for 10 minutes. Wocca, is it the website or just the heavy load of pics you have in there?

Thanks for your comments Joz & Anne

I believe it's a China-based website. The link is usually very fast here in China. Maybe it was just the time of the day. Of course both of you are in the States. Could somebody in another part world, please try the link and see if it's slow opening from where s/he is.

I've cropped and reduced all the pix to minimal size, so that shouldn't be a problem

Must be the time of day. I just went into the website and it went through right away and so did the pictures. I am looking at the ones right now Wocca...
