Absolutely.... I wouldn't have it any other way

People are my favourite creatures, especially pretty ones

As for life: there are 3 kinds of people:
1) Those who make things happen
2) Those who watch things happen, &
3) Those who haven't got a clue

HOW LONG SO FAR IN CHINA: I first entered China on 28th December 2002. I've been in & out a few times, but I regard China as my base. I hold a resident's permit, and could stay until I die if I wanted to.

HOW MUCH LONGER: My annual renewable university teaching contract ends each year on 31st July. I've already been invited to continue next year. At this stage, I intend to renew until 31st July 2006. I may even go another year beyond that (until July 2007), however it's too premature to predict at this stage. I have my eye on living / teaching in South America (Costa Rica, Venezuela, & Argentina).

One of the main advantages of where I am is the central position in the world. There is also the number of paid holidays I get (almost 5 months per year). Kunming has an international airport: only an hour or two hours to Bangkok or Hong Kong.

In summer 2005, I plan to visit Japan. This will virtually complete my Asian tours. Next year, I can consider holidaying in North(& even Central)America, and Europe.

Yeah sure, if "superficial" is the word you want to use. I appreciate beauty & structure (not only in a physical sense). It is a component of self-actualization. Other associated needs include purpose, personal growth and realization of potential. All of which is part of an ongoing process.

First impressions don't tend to last, so I do recognize and enjoy inner beauty when it shines through. Jackpot when both inner & "superficial" beauty is present at the same time.

I try to take pride in my appearance. That's the way I was brought up, and I know what my standards are. For whatever reason, I've always seemed to be in the limelight, especially in work-related situations. Nowadays, when I get up in front of a class of students, I'm not satisfied to be just another different animal in the zoo. Through practice, I deliver polished performances. Everyone goes away happy, and I continue my preferred lifestyle in the world at large.

Slovenliness in appearance, dress or habits doesn't appeal at all to me

What event would you say has altered your life the most, and why? (If you're answer is moving to China, then tell us about event #2!)
