Malaga is mainly a working town but does have some nightlife.

You could also try a train from the main station to somewhere like Torremolinos for British nightlife.
Not that you will have any trouble but do be careful of yourself on the Costa del Sol late at night. There is a fair bit of crime and drugs there.
