Hey
I'm planning to spend New Years in Sydney this year and looking to find people to meet up with and enjoy the festivities with!
I would love to spend New Years in the Botanical Gardens (Mrs Macquaries Point) and watch the fire works display.
Let me know if you plan on doing something similar, it would be great to hear from you!

Sounds good to me Kate,
Im up for that. Do you have to book tickets or anything or do you just turn up ??
Have you ever heard much about this Shore Thing Concert that happens on New Years at Bondi. I wouldnt swap beign on the Harbour for it but if it was going on through the early hours id think about going there afterwards too !!

It's even better to book The Harbor Cruise for NYE if you want to be on water under the fireworks! This experience is incredible if affordable!
And yes you have to pay at some places with the best fireworks view!
Personal Favorites : Mrs Macquarie's Point on southern side of Harbour Bridge & Bradley's Head Mosman on north.
Have fun

Hey Kate,
This is really a good fun to spend new year at Sydney. I have my personal experience and it was marvelous. There are two fireworks displays: a family show at 9pm which is lower key and allows those with families to exit the city before the real party animals take over, and then the big one at midnight (of course). The key feature of the midnight fireworks is usually the Harbour Bridge so any viewing choice should factor this into account.

Hi All,
I'm on my own in Sydney for Christmas & NY too and would love to have people to meet up with?
I've not got accomodation booked yet, suggestions welcome, there appears to be no availability anywhere from 30Dec -01Jan!
Mrs Macquaries Point sounds like a great place to watch the NY fireworks from what I've read so I was considering doing that or going to Bondi for the 'Shore Line' beach party; is anyone doing that?
Hope to hear back from you!

Hello
I'm going to in Sydney for new year on my own as well! It would be great to meet up with a group of people. I've booked accommodation at Wake Up but I have no clue where to go for new years celebrations so I'm up for anything
I'm in Sydney form 29th to 3rd, please mesage me if you would like to meet anytime. I'd like to go to bondi beach at some point also but would definitely like to see the fireworks at NY.
Can't wait to be there

Hi everyone,
I will be back home in Sydney from the 30th onwards and would be up for meeting and having a drink with others in Sydney around that time.
Also for those struggling to find accommodation, it is very hard and expensive this time of the year but some of the hostels in slightly further away places like Glebe and Cronulla may have space, and don't forget the power of COuchsurfing!
