Flight Change

Hi, i'm just looking for a bit of advice, I apologise in advance if this is in the wrong place!

I booked a return flight to bangkok with STA for this November, however I found
I had a few more days off so wanted to change my return date with STA. I was initially
told that was fine, cost a wee bit to change but I was happy to pay, they said that
was fine and took my money. However, a few hours later I got told the flight was suddenly
unavailable and they couldn't do it and my money would be refunded in 7 days. I asked if
they could try again, heard nothing, asked again and still heard nothing.

I am just wondering if you know if you can change your flights directly with emirates once
you have done your outward journey or do you still have to go through STA?

Obviously the last seat was filled so they'd rather have another full fare than your relatively small additional fee. Not a lot you can do except try another date, maybe just one day either side of the day you wanted.

Emirates I would think will tell you to go through STA on any booking but you could try though I can't see their decision being any different from STA.
