I notice that a certain well-known travel booking site has been promoting college and pro football tours for the rabid fan bases (similar I guess to the trips to the soccer Brazilian World Cup or Euro Championships for the European fans. I know I considered going out of town this year to the Alabama vs Michigan college game in Dallas (however, the $400 per ticket price just for the game--which didn't include airfare--made me change my mind).

My question for American and Canadian football fans is: Which teams do you follow--and have you ever traveled out-of-town to attend one of your team's games? And does a tour package to a group of games appeal to you and your friends?

And my question for Europeans, Asians, and Africans is: Have you ever attended soccer (global football) games abroad and how was your trip?

My family used to travel to Rams games when they played in LA. Now how long ago was that! Now I really don't have one team that I live or die with. I follow the Steelers, Packers, Patriots & 49ers, but would not pay to see any of them in person. The NFL has priced itself out of my budget. I will sit in my living room and watch on TV from now on.
