Travel Insurance ?

Hi people,

Going to melbourne in december for a year, does anyone know a reputable and reliable travel insurance company that will do a years cover ?

also is anyone in that area around that time ?

It depends where you are resident. If you are a UK resident then there are a host of companies to choose from for long stay cover, you could compare on the likes of Moneysupermarket or when I went I bought through -snip-.

You will find that if you are a UK Res then there is also a reciprocal health arrangement (a bit like EHIC when in Europe) when visiting Oz. You would need to register with them in addition to taking out insurance - for Medicare visit www.medicareaustralia.gov.au

If you are a non UK resident I have just looked up World Nomads who state that they offer cover for people in over 150 different countries.
