We are a group of 10 men who will be travelling to Amsterdam in June. We will be driving two Vintage WWII vehicles and need a place with parking close to Amsterdam, preferably on the East side or near Schipol Airport. Anybody got any good ideas? Thanks, Sid
My advice is to leave your car in a pubblic parking and to get an hotel in the city center.

I agree with the previous poster. Most people in Amsterdam get around by bike. You could buy one for cheap (5-15 euros), but be wary who you buy it from because I have heard that often the revenue they make goes right up their arm, know what I mean? There is no way you could get around the city in a WWII ride! In fact, most people in Amsterdam don't even know how to give driving directions- they tell you how to walk/bike, as that is the perfered mode of travel. The roads are cobblestone and often quite narrow and bumpy, especially once you get to the city center. Plus, there are confusing one-ways, etc. A better idea would be to find some public parking and reserve the vehicle for daytrips outside of the city. Good luck
Oops, sorry, I scrolled down and thought . . .. . I meant to address my post to Sid . . . my appologies
