Am travelling through c america + Mehico avec my surfboard, will be heading to Panama too. Do travellers need a yellow fever certificate when going north after being in Panama??? (wont be going south of the canal, but it would be pretty impossible to prove that i hadnt been to Darien (regions with Yellow Fever) etc...if ever asked to at border crossings.)

Hi there,
Yellow fever certificate is needed in Honduras, Nicaragua and Panama.

Is that certificate required if only crossing from Guatemala to Copan Ruinas for two days and then back?

Yellow fever certificate is not needed in Central America--
I travel all over CA and into USA/Canada and Europe (live in Panama) and have never needed to show a Yellow Fever cert...

Some health authorities recommend it if you are going to the Darien jungle for extended periods...

cheers,
Andrew
