Hi Everyone,
Might seem a silly question but i am off travelling to Aus for a year, but i am an asthmatic. I am from the UK so i can only get inhalers on prescription over here. I am taking inhalers with me, but i just wondered can you buy inhalers over the counter. Its just for piece of mind encase i run out or lose an inhaler i dont want to be panicking or having an asthma attack when im away. Although my asthma is controlled!
Any help appreciated :-)
Chelsea x

Hi Chelsea,
I am in the same boat...You can buy the blue inhalers over the counter at Asda 2 for £7 but all the others you have to get on prescription. My doctor could only give me 4 inhalers but he said you would be able to get them in Aus during the year they are probably going to be more expensive though.

Hi Emma,
Glad its not just me!
I read somewhere that they can charge you 60dollars for one inhaler, which is going to be expensive specially been a backpacker!
But i suppose at least we know we can get them if needs be x
