Hi everyone,
I'm currently a contractor in the Middle East, just had a relationship breakdown an pretty much lost everything in the uk (house etc). :(

Anyway my point is when my contract ends in January I've decided to go travelling for 6 months at least. I'm just a bit worried going on my own and I'm 25 now i feel like I'm to old haha!!

I spent some time in New Zealand a few years ago when I was working there and loved the place. I've always wanted to visit Japan so I'm going there first, I've done some research on japan but I feel people's experiences of the place are more of a help. I want to see Tokyo and Yokohama but also the traditional side aswel. Just wondering if anyone can give me some advice so I can put together a rough itinerary!

After that the plans are to Aus an then finish in NZ but I feel a lot more comfortable in those countries.

Thanks for any advice in advice

J

Hi there!

Sorry to hear that :(

I have been to Okinawa Honto, its a beautiful island to see. In Ryukyu Village there is a small park which includes info of all the Okinawan traditional Culture. Tokyo is a fascinating place to visit, as its the capital its huge and busy but their is plenty to see and do.

I haven never been to New Zealand or Australia but they are place i wish to visit!

Learn the Japanese language, I mean at least the basic. :)

Don't forget to visit Yoyogi Park, Koishikawa Korakuen and Shibuya.
You will get to see beautiful landscape garden next to Tokyo Dome and spacious city park in Shibuya.
