My name is Kelley. I go by Skangie here because that's my username on my news blog and fan site -snip-. This site is dedicated to British actors Skandar Keynes and Georgie Henley. They play Edmund and Lucy in the recent Narnia films. I want my Travellers Point account (started yesterday) to be a social network of sorts for my fan site - just like Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Tumblr, Google+, Pinterest, etc. I love making Skangie social.
I started a blog yesterday called "Skandar & Georgie: Beyond the Wardrobe - Sharing Education and Films with Fans." I explained in the first post (with no links) why I joined Travellers Point and why I started the blog. But as you can see if you click on the link, I can't access it because of my second blog post "'Dawn Treader": The American Tour." It's filled with external links but they're not spam! My blog now has a temporary block on it because it's under manual review, as of 1am today. I need it back!
You can learn more about me -snip-. Regarding travel, I live in the USA and have all my life. I've visited all of the lower 48 beginning in 2000, mostly by car. But I've never been to Alaska or Hawaii. I visited the UK on a three-week missions trip in the summer of 1999. I've visited Canada often, beginning in 2000, also by car. I've been to all the Canadian provinces but none of the territories. I've also been on a few plane and train trips, as well as two dozen car and passenger ferries.

As you noted your blog was subjected to a temporary block. The content of your post automatically triggered something which is designed to block spammers; when this happens the blog is subjected to a manual review and is normally cleared within one day.
We do not tolerate spam on the site and are particularly wary of new members that immediately post external links—something which you have managed to trigger twice.
Your blog has been reviewed and the block removed for now but if you keep posts free from promotional links and the like you shouldn't have any trouble maintaining an active profile and travel blog on Travellerspoint. The post above has also been edited in accordance with the Travel Forum Rules.
Thanks for the reply and explanation. I just don't agree with the site policy about external links, promotional or not, although I'll try to abide by it.
My post and blog are nothing like what you describe. I don't see a problem with naming and linking to my site, even though I'm not really 'advertising' it. I wish this site were more like Tumblr or WordPress. Starszz, for example, gives celebrity fan sites free hosting and domains. Their site forum allows for external links and it's not spam. It's almost a necessity.
I don't think Travellers Point is allowing the exciting possibility of what I'm trying to do with my account and travel blog - a social network for existing websites (not just individuals).
Though you may not think of it as advertising it is promotion, which is not what the site is designed for – i.e. travellers planning trips – though it's interesting to see how members use the platform features.
