Alive made me travel to Chile (though it was more the book than the movie). Upon learning it was filmed in Chile, I watched Seven Years in Tibet about 5 days before first heading down there.

I haven't seen it in many years, but Mosquito Coast reminds me of a few ill-fated parts of trips I have had.

Forest Gump got around quite a bit for himself, Tom Hanks was great in it.

Technicaly...since movies are a form of escapism (as is travelling for me;) ) Wouldn't all movies fit this catagory? They can transport us? Even if only for a few hours....
