we`re gonna be crossing from peru to bolivia in a couple weeks... whats the situation over there as ive heard bad things with social unrest and road blocks etc??? If anyone is travelling there at the moment please let me know whats going on.
Roadblocks are over, the protests were peaceful and the president did´t resign.
There are no reason not to come here.
But there are roadblocks from time to time and the people here are very political. Fun, as long as you have a few days extra or the money to catch a flight!
- except the airport (in La Paz) is always the first thing to get blockaded!
Oh come on, social unrest is what makes south america so special!
Seriously, why go to all these tourist traps and ruins and trails if you can hardly tell that you are in one of the most tumultuous areas of the world??- where the people have a real fight on their hands and life changing things can happen every day
