Hi folks,

I'm at the early stages of planning a trip to South America next year, and most likley have Colombia in mind.. Travelling from Europe (Ireland) so likely to do 2 or 2.5 weeks in Colombia and then a few days in the US on way home... City tbc, depending on most convenient flight routes home...

Is 2 weeks enough time to see all the good sites in Colombia? Bogota, Lost City, Cartagena etc? Or indeed would there be there be enough time to see some of Euador or Venezuala aswell possibly??

I would appreciate comments from anyone that has done this trip before and who has recommendations please? As I say, 3 weeks max is the time I'll have given work but i would hope to get as much packed in during that time as possible... Did a similar trip to Vietnam & Cambodia last year and don't mind if there is plenty of travelling between places, once worthwhile.

Cheers!!!!

Bart..

No. It's definitely not enough time to see EVERY good site in Colombia....It's a ridiculously short time to see EVERY good place in Colombia. And to add Venezuela or Ecuador???? That is unbelievably bananas. You're not driving across Luxembourg here, for one thing.

Let me put it this way... Colombia is almost 14 times larger than your homeland with a geography/geology and flora/fauna that is about a million times more complicated/interesting.
