Headed to Panama for a week or so. We know we are headed to Bocas del Toro, however, we are looking for other adventures. Island Hopping, great treks, off the beaten path type of stuff....we will talk to anyone and speak fluent Spanish.
Please pass along any and all suggestions.
I have never been to Panama, but I do have an aunt who is part Panamanian. I've been interested in seeing Panama myself just from listening to her stories. Anyway, one of my primary interests is in Boquete; I'm into hiking, white water rafting, ziplining, etc... this place offers all of it. Another place that has sparked interest is the Amador Causeway. Hope this helps!
I went there and not really a lot. I saw Noreiga's old house and the Panama canal where you can see ships going through the locks. I also visited some of the San Blas islands which are tiny overcrowded islands just above sea level off of the coast. $10 got me a motorboat ride around a number of them from the main one I landed on.
