Hai all..
I am erby from Indonesia...i am new comer in this forum..
and i want to promote my hometown, this place is not too touristy but it have beautiful scenery..
Indonesia is not just Bali, There's a lot of place you have to visit besides Bali.
A Small town in West Sumatra Indonesiacalled Bukittinggi is worth to visit.
This town has a unique Culture and pleasant weather.
As a men who loved travelling so much,i would like to invite you visit my hometown bukittinggi when someday you visit Indonesia.
Many interesting place you can go here..and let me inform you one by one :

1. Sianok Canyon
A Giant canyon in the centre of town and very easy to find,you can enjoy the scenery from the top even go down to the bottom of the canyon.

2. Maninjau lake
It's the second biggest vulcanic lake in sumatera island. There something unique to reach this lake. You should pass the 44 extreme curve way down till bottom of the lake.

3. Pagaruyung Palace
A Traditional minang ethic palace where held 30 minutes from bukittinggi.

4. Singkarak lake

5.Kamang Village
A Village near to bukittinggi where you can see magnificient scenery like greenfield with their farmers and buffalows

6. Jam Gadang
Old Tower clock in the centre town with unique architec

This place is cheap..
Hotel for one night is not too expensive. its about USD 10- 20/Night

I haven't been there for quite a number of years, usually on a stop over on the way from Lake Toba or on the way to Padang.

I see you have a Pizza Hut there now. My small town in France got a McDonalds a while back. There is no escaping the multinationals.

yup...western food easily to find in town nowadays. And pizza hut is near to the clock tower. ya i agree with you,it's hard to escape from the multinationals
