Thats all awesome stuff, thanks everyone!

Okay so i've got some good information on Thailand, Vietnam, and Cambodia.
I've got very general stuff on Indonesia now so if anyone can think of some more good ideas about places to go and things to do there let me know.

Now i think all thats left is to plan out some details in Malaysia. I'll be there for the F1 grand prix but also 2 days before that, and 2-3 days after that. So besides the Petronas Towers and Perhentian islands where should i go?
And with regards to the food in Penang.... i'd like an excuse to head there, like maybe something to see and do there while i enjoy the food. This way i'm not traveling to Penang aimlessly. I'll be eating everywhere if ya know what i mean ;)

Cheers!

Hey,

I just read through your post here and I am also planning a trip alonearound South East Asia, Oz and NZ - I actually leave the UK on 7th Jan... 8 days and counting.

What caught my eye was I am also going to Malaysian GP 2013!! I absolutely love the GP and wouldnt miss it!! So if your up for a GP buddy let me know as I'll be attending on my own - not got my tickets yet but going to book them this week - I've been looking at the Emerald stand upper tier. Have you got your tickets yet? Hear its a bit of a crazy town when you get there on race day.

I'll also be in KL for a few days too and have no idea what to do so also interested what people say about KL - although to be honest its the GP that I'm most excited for.

I was actually looking online for any backpacking/solo traveller groups that would be interested in meeting up before and after GP for few drinks but couldnt see any - if you hear of any could you let me know please?

Your trip sounds awesome! Roll on 2013!

Sarah :)

Why don't you send me an email or add me to FB and we can talk about the details more.
-snip-
Cheers ;)

[ Edit: Sorry, no personal details please. ]

Thailand, Indonesia Malaysia, Laos, Vietnam, and Cambodia are really very nice destinations to travel.

These are perfect places for adventurous tour, to experience beautiful lakes with cruises, wild life, sand beaches, warm heart hospitality by nice people. You can experience tasty food, gorgeous waterfalls, markets in water, Temples etc....

Hey there :)
If you're going to visit indonesia, dont miss sumatera. It also has some nice places to visit.
Like Sabang in Aceh, nice place for dive. In north sumatera you can see the largest lake in indonesia, lake toba, and also volcanos, waterfalls.
Bukit lawang - Tangkahan, find the orang utan's reservation. Lauser national park, nice place for hiking.
And if you like surfing, dont forget nias. It has nice beach and big waves, in sorake and lagundri beach.

And the other nice place for dive, I suggest you Gili Trawangan in Lombok, Bunaken in Sulawesi, and Raja ampat in Papua.

well, all I can do so far is that. But let me know if you need some other help.

:)
