Guys we really need your help!!!!

Me and my friend are both in our early 30's and have a tight schedule to try and fit in a tour of East Coast! We arrive in Cairns on Fri 3 May and we have to Leave Byron to fly to Sydney on 17 May.

Things we really want to see

Airlie Beach/Whitsundays
Fraser Island
Noosa
Surfers
Byron

We have looked at Topdeck tours however we are not sure if they are going to be full of mad students on a gap year (those days have passed) or if indeed they are worth the money - an 11 day tour costs £1500.

Ideally we would like trips with mid 20's+, we don't have to stay in Noosa/Surfers too long as we have actually been there before.

Would it be possible to book a greyhound pass and just book as we go when we get there or should we book in advance?

Honestly any advice is gratefully appreciated

Lyns and Lou xx

Hi Guys,
I am from Sydney and will be more than happy to help. I won't be keen on doing the tour as I don't like the idea of tight schedule. You may be better off hiring a car and drive along the east coast. It is way more fun, can be a little tiring but pace it out. You can just stop at many caravan parks along the coast to stay for cheap.
Love Byron bay, must do!! there are heaps of nice places if you driving from surfers to Sydney, which I think you would miss if you travel as part of a tour. Hope the info helps, feel free to ask any question you have about Syndey and places to visit around Sydney.
Safe Trip
Ricky

You can certainly do it. But you would be best for a camper van and driving down and keeping the schedule loose as possible don't make anything tight. you will meet people if you do hostels as well.

:) Enjoy and we will meet up for a drink in Sydney if i am still around. I should be there for a year hopefully before i re-start my travels.
