SE Asia Travel buddies - Mature traveller

I'm a mature lady (48) hoping to travel SE Asia approx Nov 2013 and being in Sydney for Christmas & New year.
Never travelled on my own before and would love to hear ideas or from anyone who plans to travel that area around the same time , maybe meeting up before or along the way.
Life's too short not to enjoy the great world.

well i would like to visit Cambodia, Vietnam, laos , china....etc not really sure in what order and confirmed plans yet , just wanted to get an idea if anyone going around the same time as flexi on places times etc
where are you going, have you booked anything yet ?
