me and my buddy are maybe staying in southeast asia from 21.12 until 03.13 but we cannot decide where to go. We are now in singapore and would fly out from here. We want a beach with diving/surfing. Cheap =) Just a chill place to hang out and have some fun. Do you have any recommendations? We dont want to go to thailand. Have been thinking about bali or maybe phillipines...

If you plan to come to Vietnam at that time, i think it's a good idea since Vietnam is folling the lunar new year. Then it's will able to travel in western new year. "a beach with diving/surfing. Cheap " is okay in Vietnam with Halong bay tour and in the South. About Thai is okay. I love Thailand :) Thailand is not cold at that time maybe and Phuket is awesome.

It is good idea to visit Vietnam where have many splendid sightseeings and wonderful lanscapes.Especially, you should join in Lunar New Year which is a traditional holiday in VN. Of course, price is cheap.

Thailand! Beaches, nightlife, cheaper hotels than Singapore. Cheaper alcohol! Most any nearby country like Malaysia, Laos, Cambodia and Thailand will be cheaper than Singapore!

There is a train that even goes from Singapore to Bangkok. Young tourists in Thailand who want to be around other young tourists, at a beach area, often choose Koh Phangan for FMP and to get wasted.

Up to you.

You should definitely go to the Philippines. I went to El Nido and it was the best vacation I experienced.-snip-You would surely enjoy all the activities that involves snorkeling, kayaking, and my favorite of them all is the mangrove tour. I hope you'll have an awesome vacation. :)

[ Edit: Sorry, no promos please. ]
