I had a bad one this year.
Just travelled around Jordan for almost 3 weeks.
But still have been in Brazil and a few european countries for business.
Next year are Svalbard and Oman planned. As well Bhutan, Kamtchatka and Ethiopia for 2013 or 2014.
We will see...
a quiet travel year for me too, a trip to London (always something new to do), also saw Slovenia, Croatia, BiH and Serbia.
Looking at Egypt,Tunisia and Morocco early next year, then no plans, althogh i certainly intend to have an active 2013.
Seasons greetings and happy travels,
Hi I am James. Sounds like you are really having fun . I really did not much this year, been very busy with my career but Xmas is nearing and planning to have a vacation somewhere ,maybe this weekend but i dont know where/what place is nice to be visited.
2012 included a trip to the US. A few weeks in San Diego and a few days in Chicago. Happy memories!
Plans for 2013 include at least a trip to Port Douglas around June. Not sure what else at this point. All assuming the Mayan calendar is nothing to worry about of course
Enjoying my holiday here in us with my parents. Next year dad plan to bring me to Paris for my schooling. I hate the idea being far from them but I guess it's only the best way to earn a degree. I should be thankful that their doing everything to give me brighter future..But right now, I'll spend time being with them until the end of this year.
In 2012 worked/travelled in every province across Canada and also did the polar bears in Churchill. Cuba, Panama, Colombia then Japan and China then UK and France as well.
Looking forward to a loooong flashpacking trip in the New Year starting back in Cuba then continuing on to who knows where... it all depends on which airline is offering the best sales!
Would be nice to see your travel maps and photos here on TP Terry...
Just got back from a month in SE Asia (Bangkok, Vientiane, Luang Prabang and my favorite of all, Hanoi). If I did it again, I'd skip Vientiane because it's just too quiet (it does have some of the best pizza in Asia - try the Swedish version).
Another traveler I met in Hanoi, a Singaporean, suggested Malaysia for my next trip, and I'm giving this some consideration since food is high on my list of priorities. I'm also considering both South Korea and Taiwan - I would be interested to hear comments on any of those destinations from other travelers in the TP family.
I really don't understand why anyone would want to come here to the USA (with all of it's explosive problems - just had another fatal shooting here in Portland, Oregon)???

Are you seriously suggesting that foreign tourists coming to the US are in more danger of being killed than in most other destination round the world?!?!
This year saw the end of my 2 and a half years living in and travelling Europe. Leaving Belgium I went to a couple more places around England, despite difficulties getting back in to the UK. After that went across to Poland, Slovakia, and Hungary, with the highlight getting out in to the country in a small town called Paks and living with a local friend for a week, even taking in a Hungarian wedding. Road tripping back down to Croatia, before shooting back across to Spain and Pamplona for San Fermin. Then off to Madrid, before a random road trip to Portugal, before heading back to Barcelona and flying back to Budapest. Then off to Prague before the long flight home to Aus. Was a great year, even better 2 and a half years, and was very tough leaving.
2013 has in store a short 4 week South East Asia trip taking in Thailand, Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam, whilst saving up the bigger money for a long winded trip in 2014 to South and Central America!
Daawgon - Taiwan's a good idea. Had a couple of weeks there, great place. The best experiences were reachable based in Taipei - the sights further south were fine but not worth a big effort if you're pushed for time (Taroko gorge, green island, alishan, sunmoon lake, kenting). A week in Taipei would be my suggestion, more time than that then tour round.
