Travel Forums Asia Backpacking through Asia

Two of my friends and I are planning to go to India and Thailand. One of my friends can't make any stops in the US, and brought up the Idea of flying into Turkey and travelling to India from there.

Does anyone know anything/have any experience taking trains across this part of Asia?

Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan, Turkmenistan, Azerbajan, Tajikstan?

Two of us are female. One male. Male appears Canadian-European, one female appears Croatian/Spanish and one female appears Canadian.

I heard somewhere that in Afghanistan there's some sort of unrest or something. I don't know, I might be wrong... it's probably nothing. Have fun!

What country are you starting from? Or are you coming from different countries and meeting up somewhere?

"Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan, Turkmenistan, Azerbajan, Tajikstan?"

Hmmmmm! Really? Write up a trip report on this travel, should be interesting unless we see you on CNN or BBC first.

Hi. I don't think it is safe for you to stop by the middle east countries. It's been on international news that these countries have riots and unrest, so I think it's not a safe place for tourist. :)
