When leaving Norfolk, VA I was given a US Airways yellow "EXPRESS VALET" tag. I was told by the flight attendant to leave my bag by the side of the plane. When I got off the plane at my connecting flight in Washington, I didn't see my bag (or anyone else's?) there, so I stupidly boarded the bus that was waiting outside of our plane, assuming that our baggage would be in the building that we arrived to. Since we had a choice of leaving the plane from front or back, I am thinking that perhaps baggage was on the opposite side and I didn't know?
Anyway, I reported a claim in WA, and the woman spoke to someone on the phone who found a bag that they described as similar to mine, but I heard them say that it was "negative" something...I'm not sure what word that "something" was. She then gave me a panicked look and told me to catch my flight to Boston and file another claim there, so I did.
The claim was filed on Wednesday, and it's now Saturday. The only update I've received was when a man called me yesterday telling me that he would investigate the situation. I've called every day, and each time we re-reviewed my information. I've described my bag in great detail (a blueish green floral patterned roller bag with red, yellow, and white flowers) to several different operators, but when I called today, the woman replied "oh, so it is patterned? it's not a solid blue bag?" so it would seem that all this time, no one even bothered to write down that the bag was patterned. I feel totally hopeless!
What should I do?
edit: I also offered to send a picture of the bag to phone operators, and they refused.
