Hi louis, im booked with ozintro for june 17th, just think it makes my life easier n safer sinse im solo travelling. i was hoping id meet people to head up the east coast with but have left my self with open plans to be honest. So where did u find wasbest weather wise? xx

Up north is the warmest (Darwin-Carins) but I don't know if its worth going with it when you get out there and meet people and see what there plans are. Also obviously Carins would be like finishing point when you do the east coast. Reading up on it good time to do the east coast is spring/autumn. Suppose really just depends on how much you want to see whilst you are out there. Have you got a holiday work permit?

Also I really did like the sound of doing ozintro to meet people n does kinda put your mind at ease about meeting people when you first get out there. I'm still undecided with it though.

Xx

Hey there all....

I am looking to go around the same time. Have not even started to book anything but was also looking at doing the Oz Intro as I am going alone.

Any advice?

Travelling buddies would be a bonus as well!! :) x

Hi

It depends on if you want to spend the money on doing it n reading upon it they do sort you out for your whole stay and make things easier for when you first get out there.
But also like Anthony said n I've had a friend say as well as long you stay in hostels you will meet people straight away. 6 of 1 half a dozen of another.

Hi everyone.

I was planning to hit Oz this year but due to funds I am now among to 2013 also. I had been planning going with a few friends and already have a mate there who has been raving about how good it is for the last year. However shit happens and now I'm going myself, and my mate who's there will probably be back around June, although he will be ale to give me some pointers, I, like yous, will be on my own.
I had planned on going over around march, and starting in sydney or melbourne and working round the coast, so let me know what yous are all doing.

One more thing, I look at OZintro and got all the packs, but when I spoke to my mate who's there just now he told me not to bother. He said jobs are easy to come by and if you start off in hostels(or uses sites like this I suppose) you easily meet like minded people.

Anthony

Hi Anthony

Would defo be up for meeting up when I get out there n doing some coasts. How you planning on getting about n when would you be heading round? Be good to try get a few people doing it n that.

I'll also be heading to Oz 1st May 2013. Travelling alone and first time so defo be up for meeting up with everyone.

Had a look at the above Facebook group and looks good so I've cheekily requested to join the group! haha.

I'll be flying into Perth on 01/05/13 but then pretty flexible on plans travelling around Oz, hoping to get to NZ also June/July time.

Sarah

Hey all.
Alright Louis,
yeah it'd be good to get a few people to go round the coast. well i had looked at getting the bus, greyhound do a coast ticket, that allows u to hop on and off all the way from melbourne to cairns, so if u see a stop that looks good u just get off. i know a few people that did it in a campervan, which sounds cool, but i dont drive so i cant include in that.lol.
I can imagine that there will be no shortage of people wanting to do a coastal adventure in australia tho...

Hey All,

I'm flying to Brisbane on the 7th March with my mate. Were both from Newcastle looking to meet new people straight away. Were staying at hostel for the first 4 nights to get a bearings with the city and take it from there. Looking to meet plenty of people before moving on to do the 88 days farming so that we can get the 2nd years WHV.

Hopefully we can catch up out there.

Elliot:)

Hi mate,

No not at the minute but I heard its pretty easy to find. Had a few mates that have done this so got a few contact off them. I really just want to get it out of the way so I have the rest of the time to travel after.

It should also be the cooler months as well so hopefully won't be as bad.

Elliot
