Hi All,

Brand new to this forum, I'm looking for ideas to help me plan how to travel around the world. I am looking to travel for cheap and alone or with other like minded people.

It's not really an idea that has ever come to the forefront of my mind before, travelling has always been there in the back of my mind but I feel the time is right for me to reach out and challenge myself to see some new things in life...

I wouldn't say I have a specific idea yet in terms of destinations, there are so many places to see I was hoping for some advice from people who may have already traveled or are thinking along the same lines.

Thanks People.

Si

Oh, and if you haven't viewed my profile, I am from England.

That no one encouraged this for a month is disappointing. Alot of Brits head to SE Asia to do the backpacking circuit out there. I met a few guys who did the overland from England to Thailand and they raved about it. Save up a few thousand pounds and head out there. I only have travel experience through Europe and SE Asia. I can highly recommend Thailand-Laos-Vietnam-Cambodia-Philippines. It's cheap. It's beautiful. It's definitely an unforgettable adventure. It's easy to spend a month or two in Thailand alone. But as I was recently on the edge about whether to travel or not, after receiving a push from strangers like me I feel obligated to return the favor. Do it.
