The five amigos has indicated that this thread is about Ireland

We are a group of five retired friends that are planning a month long trip to Ireland. We would love any input as to the best route/places and things to see and your thought if visiting another surrounding country while there would be feasible. We are planning on coming in September/October time period. Thank You for any assistance

I did a 3 week trip around the island, both Ireland and Northern Ireland, which basically covered the coast. It was amazing and depending on how much you want to be on the road, it could be a good starting point as it was a wonderful experience of the entire island. Regardless, I would recommend renting a car :)

Our basic itinerary looked like:

Day 1
-arrive in Belfast

Days 2 & 3
-Belfast

Day 4 (One of my two favorites days!)
-drove to Balley Castle
-hiked in Glenariff Forest Park
-crosses the Carrick-a-Rede rope bridge
-saw the ruins of Dunluce Castle
-walked around Giant’s Causeway

Day 5
-drove to Dublin
-went on the Musical Pub Crawl

Days 6 & 7
-Dublin

Day 8
-drove to Waterford
-on the way walked through monastery at Glendalough and saw Browne’s Hill Dolmen

Day 9
-drove to Cork
-on the way toured Waterford Crystal Factory and visited the Rock of Cashel

Day 10
-drove to Killarney
-on the way drove through the Beara Peninsula

Day 11
-Killarney, including biking the Gap of Dunloe

Day 12 (One of my two favorites days!)
-drove to Dingle through the Dingle Peninsula
-visited Slea Head and the Blasket Islands, hiked down to the tip

Day 13
