I always say, think about how difficult it is to remember a lie (and who you told it to) than to simply tell the truth...there is nothing to remember, it is simply, the truth!

Moral to the story: the truth shall set you free!!

I reckon it depends on how important the thing your gonna lie about is.

Being creative with the truth makes life more interesting except when it's about important stuff.

The difference between

this fish I caught was
[ this big ]

and...

she fell I didn't push her

?

But....a lie is a lie, no matter what you call it.

Nah.

Life isn't just black and white. It's shades of grey.

Everything is perspective...why complicate it?

Sorry I don't understand what you mean.

All I mean't was people shouldn't be thought of as immoral for being creative with life and language and that the world would be a very dull place without "story tellers"

I understand story-telling and exaggeration. But 'did you push her?' you either did or you didn't. I just think they are very different things.
No offense intended.

I'm with Sam I Am - I it when people lie.

You go through a series of stages where you believe them at first, then get disappointed when things don't work out the way they were supposed to, then listen to their excuses and perhaps give them the benfit of the doubt, then realise that it was a lie, then finally having no confidence or respect in that person. It's actually a waste of my time.

This is true! With out story tellers, we wouldn't have some the main points of our modern society... for example: Politics and Religion
