Starting mid-February a long trip around the world, I am a fit 25 year old man, 75kg (165lbs) and 185cm (6"1'). I will sleep in hostels, walk a lot and do a little bit of hiking at times. I will start with a visit and tour of the US, then Latin America and heading to Australia for working holidays (I'll settle down there for few months). Then, SE Asia, India and Middle East.
My choice is a Lowe Alpine Cerro Torre 65:85 (£150, black color) and an Osprey AirPorter for airport/train transit.
It's a heavy one but I can carry that and I have 15kg (33lbs) of belongings so it will be < 20kg (44lbs) in total. I love the top opening with the amazing front opening, the gigantic space inside at first (65L) and extended (85L). The material is durable and very strong. It's the most comfortable backpack I have tested the last weeks and I tried many on, with sand bags.
If some came across this bag, please give your feedback or opinion.
