I'm exactly the same! It's a risk but it seems like its one worth taking! I'm from Edinburgh :)

It's quite scary, I have no idea what to do once I arrive stay in hostels or find a flat share hmm!

Where are you planning to go for Xmas/new year?

Hello Girls,

Yeah i cant stop thinking about it and looking at it i just want to be there now.

Alot of my friends have been trravelling and say that hostels is better, because u meet people, its probably cheaper too. which is good lol.

The scariest thing for me is walking out the airport then being by myself.

I want to be in sydney for xmas and new year, then make my way up the east coast? do you have many plans?

im from kent you?

Dan :)

And I was also advised to go to hostels but im terrified because if there anything like the hostels here in Dublin there's no way I like to stay in one! But I'm not sure about Christmas, I'm goin over in September so by Christmas ill prob be lookin for work so ill have to prob go where the work is :/

Yeah i know exactly what you mean, im the same, the hostels i have seen before dont look like somewhere id wanna even go to let alone stay in. But people have just told me to stop worrying.

Oh yeah i suppose thats fair enough. what work you looking at doing?

Hopen to book this week, the visa is nearly costing more than the flight!!! How about u?
I'm not sure really, I'm a hairdresser so could try that over there but would love to try somethin new instead, take a break from hairdressing for a while :)
Yeah I'm more worried about accomadation than anything else :/

Oh right cool. you managed to get a good flight?

oh really, how comes i swear whv costs like £238?

im the exact same, im a hairdresser, but i dont really wanna go from like work to work lol. id rather do something else, i want to travel a bit before i actually work though.

Visa here is 609 euro .... Flight is 740 one way but that's pretty much direct just one stopover for like 2 hours ... Yeah if I'm goin half way around the world I might as well change jobs :) yeah that's it we'll never know if we never try it :)

Hi Nat,

I will be travelling across with 4 other lads, our age range is between 22 - 27.

I'll be 23 when I'm out in Aus, how about you?

Ben

Hey everyone! :)

Thought I'd jump in and introduce myself as another person planning on doing this trip.

I'm likely heading out around Asia for around 4 months from late May/early June, then on to Oz around September/October. Not sure where I'll be starting, as I haven't booked my flight yet, so just looking to go with the flow really! I've been into STA recently and got a few quotes, so will be booking in the next few weeks!

Planning on a good mix of travel and work while I'm out there, then either stay on for a 2nd year or move on to NZ and elsewhere.

Hope to chat soon!

Michael
