Hello - I am an American interested in travel, especially to Europe. I am a conservative in most things, but not a Bush supporter (make of that what you will).

Hello Tim! Welcome to TP! We are a surly bunch, but we don't bite...usually;) Although I am only speaking for myself.

Welcome Tim! The good thing about travelling is that it unites, no matter what background you have. It also opens up eyes to different point of views, something that can never be bad in my experience...

Catch ya around on the forums!

Oh, another American! Thanks for the welcome. Yes, indeed - this is a surly bunch, at least some of those I have encountered thus far. I stopped here just to ask for some insights, and a political discussion ensued. I don't mind at all, but I was surprised.

Hi, Tim! I think we've all got a little fire in the blood, which can overflow at times. But at the core you'll find almost everyone a good conversationalist and a good challenge. At at the end of the day we all like a good martini!

Oops, there I go again!

I got into it because I love discussions on politics and religion and things of that nature. It is so alive and ever changing and evolving. I do know that some people don't enjoy it... I will be more reserved next time around

Tim ,So where are you in the US? This really is the most excellent site of its type out there. Have you checked it all out yet? It took me days to get through some of the information. (I sound like I work here;))
Enjoy!
