Get a Group, Make a Plan?

Hi guys, just seen this thread. I'm flying out too Sydney from Birmingham on 1st march this year. So not long for me!
I'm also going out on my own so getting nervous now but just as much excited :-)

Getting excited reading through the posts, Im going to leave early January next year and I am definitley up for getting a group together, I want to start off in either Sydney or Melbourne then anywhere after that really, just need to find a job for a few weeks to earn some more money! Im not sure how much to save up?

Thought I should chip in here too. I'm planning on flying out to Sydney for the 2nd week of September. Was originally planning on booking in with ozintro for the first week as I'm going on my own and thought it would be a good way to get on my feet.
