Hi everyone,

Im planning on heading over to Oz at the end of June this year I am a bit worried about meeting people so i a have been thinking about Ultimate Oz intro package. Not sure if i will be a bit old for it as i will have just turned 27 by the time i get over there. Does anyone think i would be better just going and chancing meeting people in hostels?

Any advice would be much appriciated

Thanks
Claire

Never too old for travel—even for a first time!

The UltimateOz/OzIntro package lot are aimed at travellers on a WHV (18-30) so technically you're also not too old for that. Other than small day trips and tours, a lot of the services they provide are things you can do yourself for free (Tax File Number, bank account, SIM card, etc).

As for meeting people, that is the very nature of staying in hostels and backpacking. You will meet people as you go and you can socialise or go solo as much as you want. Hostels regularly hold social events to allow guests to meet other backpackers.

I would also recommend that you embrace travelling without a group. IMO it is a better experience and helps to discover unexpected places.

Enjoy!
