I just tried Mapquest, and got about 850 miles from me also..guess we'll be taking separate routes huh Isa? If these damn 'Great Lakes' weren't in the way...it would be a straight shot;)

Through a small number of posts in the following linked thread - it has come to light that Sam may have attendance problems with Sept. 24-25. It has been suggested that the flocking be moved forward or backward to make sure that Sam will be there.

Sam's Dilemma

So, the floor is open to suggestions, comments or maybe the throwing away of Sam's calendar... (It could happen!) Pete, how will changing the dates affect you? (I seem to recall you will be attending a conference in early Oct. in Toronto - or have I lost my mind again?)

I havent purchased my ticket yet, so I am open for the week before or the week prior. No problem over here! ;)

Okay, let me explain....

Pete and me are attending the same conference, it's in Toronto and we're booked there starting the 11th/12th. The problem is that I doubt I'll be able to be away for much longer than two weeks and with the conference included, the weekend of the 24th makes it three weeks....

Now, I don't want people to uproot their plans on behalf of me! That would just be plain silly! But... if it works out and no one has made any costs yet, it would be perfect if we could do it the weekend after!!!!

Like I said though, don't change it just for me :)

Anne, did you mean the week before or the week prior??? Ahhhhh.... aren't they the same??? Maybe you meant the week before and the week after?? Maybe it's just me....

We're open for the original dates and the weekend after. The weekend before (prior) is going to be consumed with the Berghoff and Blues Fest and the possible visit of Pardus. Beerman will be required to attend the Fest, but not necessarily Phil's visit. (Just kidding PHIL!!!!!)

Week before or after, doesn't make a whole lot of difference. I just need an actual date. Proper arrangements to my boss has to be made in advance. Not mention, my trip to Paris early next year- isn't going to be cheap!

I'm happy either way - I'll definitely be there (unless disaster strikes of course). Sam, as long as we leave enough time to drive back and forth to Lake Louise ;) !

Geezz, my bad again hahaha...the week before or the week after...I am losing my mind, again.
Quick question Isa...is this Beerman I've been seeing Mr Isa? Did he get his own user ID now? (I am so out of the loop haha)...

Don't know if it makes a difference to anyone, but based on my present travel schedule, I am really only able to do that weekend of the 24th and 25th. The 3 weeks before I will be in Europe, and the 2 weeks after I will be in California.

Of course, Sam and Peter are travelling the furthest, so we should probably schedule around them. After all, I am going to be doing so much travelling in August, September and October I might just go and visit everyone personally.

Quick answer - go check out Introductions: "Who is that masked man???" All will be made clear there.... ;)

And, you haven't lost you mind - it's just still hanging out in SE Asia. It sent me an e-mail saying it wasn't ready to follow you home yet.
