Oh, I love martinis too much not to share one or two (or three or four) with you guys. Whisky Cafe makes decent martinis (and it's a trendy little place), plus there's Jello Bar and the restaurants along St. Laurent. My favourite is at Brandy's in Old Montreal, but it can get pretty packed. Oooh - I'm so excited!

Anne, you can't make an apple martini too strong - pour apple vodka in a glass and there you go!!

Ack!

It looks like I may be delayed in Paris until the end of September, which would mean I'd be a no-show at the Montreal meet-up. I'm not 100% sure what will happen (there is some talk of costs and budget), but I'll keep you up to date.

I hope I can make it (though, really, I can't complain if I get another week in Paris on the company).

Montreal - Paris - Montreal - Paris.... Oooh, that would be a tough decision.... I'll take your place in Paris!!!!!!!!

Just tell them that you absolutely HAVE to be in Montreal because you are the tour guide and there will be all these crazy people just wandering around aimlessly, looking quite stunned, without you!!!

Nothings confirmed yet. The cost might be prohibitive to the client. It's going to cost around $US 3000 for me to change my flight and stay an extra week in Paris instead of being in Montreal. We'll see.

They wanted me to stay two additional weeks, actually, basically briding two trips - one from Sep 4 - Sep 22 and Oct 10 - Oct 21 into one long trip of Sep 4 - Oct 21. But given that I have only spent 38 hours at home since August 15th and hadn't planed to be out of the country that long (don't have adequate health insurance, might be in violation of the terms of my entry into France, don't have clothes for October in Paris, have no way to pay my rent and other bills back home), I said no for personal reasons.

I'll keep you all up to date.

Hello everyone! I have been meaning to reply to Isa's PM regarding the plans (I have no life anymore, work is just too much). I am up for anything...the plans for the breakfast and a little city touring and of course the nightly gathering at Hurley's AAAALLLLL sounds good to me. Guess what?? My boss still doesnt know I wont be here next Friday!!!! Hahahaha...I can not even tell him that I will be away, he will have a heart attack. What to do, what to do...
