This is my 1st time here. How do you share your blog with friends and can you restrict who can see your blog.

Just send them the URL of your blog after setting it up. (They can use the "subscribe" option to sign up to get an email whenever you post a new entry, so you won't need to remind them to visit.)
You can password protect the blog, so that only people with the password can read it.
