I'll work as much as I need to through a nursing agency.

To get your second year visa you have to do I think it's 90 days manual labour type jobs like fruit picking ect to be eligible for it.

Sydney new years will be amazing. The hostels are expected sure at the min n have a minimum of a week to two weeks stay over Xmas and new years.

It is scary but you will be fine. I think a lot of people are doing the same. We could always meet up that's not a problem or even plan same hostel over Xmas and new years!

Does sound good! I am a car body repairer which is in high demand in oz i think, but not sure how easy i would be able to get a job there doing that as i have no qualifications in it as i was taught on the job! Would be nice to meet up with someone when i do get there just to make the first few days a little easier so i can get settled in!

Mine was about £250 from the Australian immigration website. I think it was 400aus$ roughly. Also I plan to fly out to Sydney on the 6th of September. Flights can be grabbed from sta travel for around £550 if your under 26.

I'm heading out to Oz at the end of August 2013, on a one way ticket. Cannot wait! Also going on my own :)

Awesome! Do you have your flights booked yet? What are your plans once you are out there?
