Hi, I am a Bangladeshi and planning to visit Bangladesh.
My passport will expire in 5 months.
Will I be denied to travel?
I believe "Passport valid for six month prior the travelling date" does not apply to me as I am traveling to my own country.
I will appreciate if someone can verify my assumption.
Thanks

I don't know anything about the specific rules of Bangladesh, and you would be best to talk to someone from your own country - like the Bangladeshi embassy of the country you are currently in.
But, I can only imagine that you will have no problem. As a citizen of Bangladesh I assume you don't need a visa or any sort of permit, and you are permitted to stay for the rest of your life if you wish. As a Canadian, I would be allowed back in Canada with one day left on my passport, because it's my country and I don't really need a passport to enter. I would be more concerned with getting back into whatever country you currently live in and will be returning to. If you have permanent residency than it's probably not a problem, though I would give immigration a call just to double check.

Well... since you are Bangladeshi and you are travelling back there then it should not be a problem. Last week, I found a Malaysian travelling from Singapore (she works and live there) entering Malaysia. When she present me her passport, it was already expired. I got no choice but to ask for her identity card to reconfirm that she is a Malaysian and let her enter because she is a Malaysian.
