So originally I was planning backpacking around Australia/New Zealand with the sis but that did not go as planned therefore I am now planning a solo trip, hoping to meet people on the way. I just finished school and got a job but now it's time to travel. I decided to add Thailand into the plans and would like some tips or feedback on that idea or should I just go straight to Australia.. I do not have much travel experience so any suggestions on where to start will be much appreciated! So my thoughts were Thailand for 3 weeks, possibly Vietnam for one week then off to Australia for one month then New Zealand for one month. I was considering trying to find work in New Zealand if that's possible but not completely sold on that quite yet. I was considering applying for a visa in case I decided to stay there longer, in that case I most likely would like some extra money therefore would need to find work.

Be prepared for expensive prices in Australia for pretty much everything (I'm Aussie). Where abouts are you planning on going in Australia? 3 weeks is a good way to get a taste of alot of Thailand and its very cheap compared to Australia but Vietnam is even cheaper than Thailand! I've had the pleasure of going to both and Thailand is def more set up for tourist so you'll be fine travelling around there by yourself. You can get cheap flights between Vietnam and Thailand, pretty sure with AirAsia. Check out their website. Where are you coming from?
