Getting captions inside photo frame?

Travel Forums System Talk Getting captions inside photo frame?

Hey there

I'm pretty new at this site and maybe I just didn't search hard enough for an answer...

But in the template I currently use (postcard) the photo captions are outside the photo frame, in the same text style as the rest of the blog entry and the text is actually closer to the blog text than to the photo...
For an example:

I find it confusing (and aesthetically disturbing for my poor blog)

Is there any way to get around this?

Thanks in advance!

Hi Ask,

Yeah, it's a bit hard to tell them apart.. Unfortunately making appear inside the photo frame is a little overly tricky with the way it's structured currently. What you can do though is improve the styling / padding etc to make it stand out a bit more.

I suggest adding this rule to your blog's styles:

.caption {font-style:italic;padding-top:0;margin-bottom:20px;text-align:center;color:#666;}

It will turn it into italics, give more padding below it, less padding above it, center it and change the colour slightly. All that combined does make it a lot clearer that it's a caption and not part of the text.

See what you think.
