I'm very interested in using an offline blog editor to type up my blog posts - will this be a possibility in the future? From other posts, I see you don't like the idea of using Windows Live Writer.
However, it is possible to use other blog editors such as blogdesk or qumana... It's so much easier to write an offline entry with these editors that have formatting and inserting photos rather than just using the "save as an email draft"... Using a blog editor saves all your entries in one place and makes the whole process more efficient and simple.
Unfortunately to integrate with blog editors, it would require a fairly significant change in our systems to make it function the way they would expect it to. In particular, most of them would expect HTML input to be ok. Since we don't allow HTML in our posts, that already is going to present issues. This probably also depends on individual editors of course and I haven't looked at them in quite a while since the question hasn't come up in quite a while either.
There would be other ways to write entries offline if you wanted to, though not as well integrated as a dedicated editor.
You could for example just use something like word or similar. If you're familiar with the codes we use you can enter those in your entry and they will all be handled. Then just copy / paste when you're ready.
The other option is to send in your blog entries by email, but it sounds like that's already what you're doing?
Thanks for your reply.
Yes I'm currently using word to draft entries offline. I will continue doing so then!
