Hello Everybody :)

I'm looking for someone to go travelling with during July or August for one month this summer around Europe. I've found it so hard to find someone to go travelling with so this is why I am using this forum.

I've been looking at the interrail passes and they seem good value for money. I'm looking to see and do as much as possible :)

So if anyone is interested feel free to contact me and we can chat about it.

Jake

Not what you asked but - 'I've been looking at the interrail passes and they seem good value for money. ' - Really! Quite sure? Have you done the maths on any itinerary? Does your expenditure not matter?

Yes they are.

£391 for one month travel on anyday. no booking fees, including tax

That is excellent value for money!

I believe WomBatt hasn't been doing their research!

It's excellent value for money if you stick to expensive countries, and take the train (almost) every single day. Most itineraries wouldn't do that, but would hang around in places to explore them a bit further. So - assuming you have a basic idea of an itinerary already - go and price it out with individual traintickets (particularly booked well in advance, taking sales into account). See if in your case it actually holds true. You might be surprised.

'excellent value for money!' - 'I believe WomBatt hasn't been doing their research!' - Your mistake. I am clearly aware of a lot more than you. I have no wish to take the postings further off topic. I can only repeat 'Have you done the maths on any itinerary?' and as, again, pointed out by Sander 'See if in your case it actually holds true.'

'£391' - did you read the t & cs. - Have you no intention of taking any train where reservation fees apply?

You are probably in need of a good website on train travel - http://www.seat61.com/ - you should perhaps read the section on Railpasses - but I also said ' Does your expenditure not matter?'

Excellent value for money - maybe in the western, but surerly not in the eastern europe. There is a lot of different alternative ways of travelling in the eastern europe which are really cheap. I don't mean the direct trains, but some buses, local trains etc.
