I've just become single & feeling very very sad - but enough about that already, onward & upward! ... I need some me time somewhere & need to go in two weeks time for three weeks so I don't miss out on college. Bit of a spur of the moment; but aren't they usually the best adventures?
I'm a 45 year old female & will be travelling alone.
I love Asia, have been to Thailand four times & is my favourite place, I've also been Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong & Indonesia - I'd prefer to try somewhere new this time. My friend just came back from India & reckons it would be too hot there now for me. I've never been to South America, don't know what it's like there for single female travellers.
I'm contemplating Vietnam, Cambodia or Burma but open to world wide suggestions.
I'd like to have a few days in a backpacker type of place something like Khao San Road to get my 'traveller' head back on, it's been a while, I don't fancy anywhere where I'm going to feel very alone, & definitely don't want anywhere package holiday tourist ... I love culture, architecture & spiritual places. I'd like some time on beaches & I like moving from one place to another. I don't want anywhere really hot as I'm suffering badly from Anaemia at the moment & easily become out of breath - so can't do hilly places either!
Can anyone help with some suggestions please? xxx
